Bringing our brothers and sisters back to Mass
The Catholic Church is facing some tough challenges. Today, almost 75% of Catholics no longer regularly attend Mass, and of the 25% that do, very few do more than simply go to Mass. So how do we help renew our parishes? The key is spreading the good news and helping people grow through the sacraments and their personal spiritual relationship with the Lord. When we evangelize people, their hearts and ours are changed forever. According to Father James Mallon, a vicar for evangelization in the Diocese of Halifax and author of Divine Renovation: Bringing Your Parish from Maintenance to Mission, "If there is no conversion of heart, if sacraments are treated as cultural rites of passage for people who have a vague belief in God, we have failed."
“The one who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ Then he said, ‘Write these words down, for they are trustworthy and true.’” Revelation 21:5
Partners helps parishioners across the United States deepen their prayer life, understand the Scriptures and the Mass, and grow in willingness to serve and pass on the faith. We send over 1,230,000 evangelistic pamphlets and booklets to parishes to reach these brothers and sisters. These pamphlets proclaim the good news of the Gospel, draw people back to the faith, and encourage them to come to know the Lord's love for them. Like St. Francis, God calls us to rebuild his church. As they return, The Word Among Us helps them grow in faith.
We are grateful that we reach so many, yet millions more need to hear the good news. People are hungry for meaning, for love, and God. Because of you, we help people to find God and come to know his love, by living our theology and being fishers of people" (see Matthew 4:19).
