The Word Among Us Partners Wishes You A Blessed Christmas

Long, long had I been watching. Behold, now do I see God coming in power, As in a cloud of light that covers the entire land. Rush out to meet him. Ask “Tell us, are you the One to rule the people Israel?” (Liturgy of Hours, First Sunday of Advent)

Jesus—our Savior—has come! But we still await him for ourselves, our families, and loved ones. Daily we await his grace of redemption and sanctification to transform our lives to the likeness of his.

Our Lord’s birth is the source of all Christian hope! As we prepare to celebrate his coming into this world as an event of the past, Christ calls on us to work with him for the extension of his kingdom.

You have already given of your resources to help extend his kingdom to so many. This Advent Season

  • Countless men and women languish in prison needing hope found only in Jesus!
  • Thousands of our brothers and sisters in the military keep watch in duty and loneliness—loneliness that only faith in Jesus can fill!
  • Many women struggle with pregnancy or the effects of abortion—a struggle that Jesus can fill with his life, truth, and healing!

    • This Advent—this time of waiting and watching—is a gift from God to us so that we may proclaim the good news of salvation to the very ends of the earth. God knows of your generosity in extending his kingdom to many through Partners.

    You are a valued member of the Partners family. In gratitude for your love and support, a Mass will be offered for your special intentions during the Christmas season at the Franciscan Monastery in Washington, D.C.

    All of us at Partners pray that at Christmas and during the coming year, the Lord’s love, will abide ever more deeply in your heart and that his abundant blessings will overflow to you and to all those you love.
